Solving the Problems of Today’s Society

The King Day of Service is a chance to help transform the ever occurring problems of today’s society and to come together to create solutions in a way which Dr. King had hoped we all one day would do. The day itself is a chance to realise his dream of unity and people from all walks of life are encouraged to help fix up their communities in one way or another, one example is by fixing doors, windows and other appliances of places like schools, churches and those less fortunate than others.

In the US people of all ages and backgrounds are welcomed to come and celebrate the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. Even if through most days of the year people tend to become more self involved then the third Monday of every January is a chance to do something for somebody else, whether that is fixing a broken fence or helping people attain the skills to get a job and as a result help themselves.
